Current Shareholders

Grupo Intercom is a business group based mainly in Barcelona (Spain), which is made up of more than 110 private shareholders who form Intercom Investment SA.

In 2001, the venture capital society, Grupo Intercom Capital SCR, was created. We are not, however, a common VC because we do not have fixed deadlines for investments and exits. We are in no hurry. Grupo Intercom Capital SCR was formed with seven shareholders, one of them being Intercom Investment SA, which accounted for 40% of the total shares.

TripAdvisor Acquires Niumba.com

Niumba, launched in 2005 for Grupo Intercom, features more than 230,000 properties globally and brings to TripAdvisor the world's largest collection of Spanish vacation rentals with more than 120,000 properties in Spain.

Representative figures

In 18 years, our partners have increased from 23 to more than 110.

We have invested a total of 28 million Euros in both incubated and minority shareholding projects.

Incubated businesses
We have majority holding. On average, the initial investment is 250,000 Euros. Further down the line, we hold financial rounds.

Minority shareholding businesses
We enter as a minority shareholder, normally investing less than 5% but, in exceptional cases, are prepared to invest up to 20%. Our investment ranges from 30,000 Euros to 300,000 Euros per operation. We enter solely as financial partners and do not intervene in the management of the business.
